Health blogs are a niche category that covers a wide range of topics. Some are training or exercise blogs, while others focus on diseases and disorders.
Studies have shown that reading health blogs can influence intention to take health actions. However, the effects vary by blog format. For example, personal narratives may convey similarity or social proof, while objective data such as cancer statistics may increase persuasion.
Pregnant Chicken
Pregnant women require high levels of protein in their diet. Chicken is an excellent source of protein, and it also contains a number of other nutrients, such as choline, folate, and iron. However, it is important to eat only well-cooked chicken. Raw or undercooked chicken could contain harmful bacteria that can cause food poisoning.
Keeping chickens while pregnant is generally safe, but it’s essential to be aware of the risks and take general precautions. This includes ensuring that any chickens purchased are from a reputable source, wearing protective gear, and exercising good hygiene. Moreover, it is essential to avoid any processed meats, including deli sandwiches and luncheon meats, because they may contain listeria or salmonella. This can lead to a miscarriage or infection in the newborn.
Pregnancy & Newborn
Pregnancy is an exciting time for many women. But it can also be a time of anxiety and stress. One way to reduce these feelings is by reading. Studies have shown that reading to your unborn child is a great way to bond with them and it helps with their brain development. In fact, babies in the womb can start to absorb language and recognize voices while still in utero! So whether you want to read classic stories like Peter Pan or something more modern like Mo Willems, the time spent will benefit both you and your baby. You can even read rhyming books to help with the bonding process!
Midwife & Life
Thanks to the popular TV show “Call the Midwife,” many American women are familiar with the vital work that nurse midwives do. But they do much more than just deliver babies.
Unlike OB-GYNs, who typically specialize in certain medical conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes, C.N.M.s and other midwives provide comprehensive gynecological care, including routine cervical cancer screenings. They also offer nutritional counseling and teach their patients about healthy eating.
Midwives can work with larger teams or in one-to-one roles, but many aspire to have their own private practice. This gives them more time to spend with their patients and allows for better communication. Plus, midwife care is cheaper than a typical visit to an OB-GYN. Those savings add up during a long pregnancy.
